Enjoy Old & Gold Festival At Byron Bay

The Old & Gold Festival, which is going to mark its 11th year celebration this year, is back in Brunswick Heads. So, those among you who have interest in collecting antiques, second-hand items, or even perhaps if you are just on the lookout for a bargain, don’t forget to be the part of Brunswick Heads Old & Gold Festival on June 9th during 8 am to 3 pm.
Organisers have around 60 households that will take part of much loved All Town Garage Sale of their pre-loved treasure. Divided into three fairs this extravagant old world charm festival will be held at different places in the Brunswick Heads town. The Collectables Fair you’ll find in the Memorial Hall, The Ye Olde Church will host the Garden Fair with clothes and bric-a-brac, while local School will be the home of a Bric a Brac and Toy Fair.
Moreover, the festival, which will have 20 major activities for those into collectables, antiques and second-hand items, will also see two big second-hand Book Fairs at two various locations - the Brunswick Visitor Centre and the Library between 9am & 12 midday.
The activities such as –
  • Historical Society displays
  • 1970's tie dye workshops
  • Recycled bikes for sale 
  • Collections such as old bikes and an army tank
  • Fire station open day with Bernie Cinders
  • Free face painting
  • Free kid's Funky Junk recycled craft activities
  • Australian Singles Marbles Championships and school teams challenge 10-12
  • Free live music @ Supermarket, outside the Memorial Hall & at various cafes
  • Community fundraising BBQs and cake stalls
  • Free Senior's morning tea & sing-along at the Catholic Church
This collection of attractions will make this an event for the whole family, couples and even you urban tredies looking for hip old, but new collectables.
